WATT'S GOING ON?

11-Aug 20:31, by Ketts

Tony Watt looks set to exit The Valley.

Speculation was rife in the Belgian press on Friday that Tony Watt was joining OH Leuven. ‎

Watt seemed to confirm the rumour and bid the fans goodbye when he Tweeted:‎

"Good old days! I'll always have a place in my ❤ that's red and white" ‎

‎Watt's early days with the Addicks were his best for the club. Since his return in January, he has not produced his best form. Watt produced better form in the Championship than he has in League One.

‎It will not be a surprise if Watt leaves The Valley, but few would have expected him to return to Belgium.

He joined Charlton‎ after an unhappy spell at Standard Liege.

Still only 23, Watt has made 38‎ starts and 18 substitute appearances for the Addicks, scoring 10 goals.

With Josh Magennis and Lee Novak unavailable, Watt would probably have started against Plymouth, but it is difficult to see how he could focus on the game now.‎

Karl Robinson may now opt to push Billy Clarke up front, and bring Ben Reeves in to play just behind him.‎
