DONNY ADDICKS

11-Oct 22:33, by E17 Addick

Sometimes constructing mutual teams can be a challenge because although there are plenty of players who have played for both sides, there can be a deficit in certain positions.

This is the case with Donny where our man in the East is creative about the central defence.

Goalkeeper

David Button.
Capped by England up to Under-20 level, remarkably David went on loan from Spurs 12 times and only played for the White Hart Lane club once as a late substitute at Doncaster in the League Cup in 2009.

He later returned to the Keepmoat and played seven times for Rovers on loan.

When he finally left Tottenham in 2012 he spent a season with the Addicks before moving on to Brentford and then Fulham.

Carl Ikeme also played on loan for Rovers as did Ben Alnwick, who never actually played for their first team.‎
