Charlton to QPR for a behind-closed-doors friendly on Friday, and there is news of the Checkatrade Trophy draw.

Charlton earned a creditable 2-2 draw with Queens Park Rangers in a behind-closed-doors ‎
‎ friendly at Loftus Road on Friday afternoon. 

Goals from Leon Best and Joe Dodoo sandwiched a brace from one time Addicks target, Matt Smith.

Charlton got off to a flying start when Best netted after two minutes. The on trial striker robbed Joel Lynch in the area, before firing home from an acute angle.

Smith levelled after 27 minutes when he got the better of Sarr and shot past Ben Amos.‎

Smith gave Rangers the lead before the interval, but Joe Dodoo levelled things up 15 minutes from time when he steered Billy Clarke's cross home.

Charlton‎: Amos, Dijksteel, Bauer, Sarr, Mascoll (Aribo), Marshall, Kashi, Forster-Caskey (Reeves), Holmes (Ahearne-Grant), Clarke, Best (Dodoo).‎
‎Goals: Best 2, Dodoo 75.



‎QPR‎: Lumley, Furlong, Lynch, Goss, Petrasso (Shodipo), Lua Lua, Borysiuk (Oteh), Wheeler, Cousins, Smith, Chair (Kakay).‎

‎Goals: Smith 27, 36.

‎The draw for the second round of the Checkatrade Trophy was made at Wembley, ahead of the England v Germany match on Friday evening. 

The Addicks will travel to Wales to play Swansea Under-21s at the Liberty Stadium during week commencing 4 December.

The draw for this round is regionalised, but Charlton have still got a lengthy journey to negotiate.

The draw for the third round will be national and unseeded.
